Professional Background

My executive coaching skills stem directly from the diverse leadership positions I have held in the private, public, and non-profit sectors. After completing my MBA, I moved into senior positions in various large and mid-sized companies. Within the private sector, I held marketing and management roles in firms ranging from entrepreneurial start-ups to Fortune 500 companies. I later led nonprofit organizations with a focus on education reform and youth development. In these roles, I built dynamic teams, managed multi-million dollar initiatives, and guided organizations through different stages of development including start-up, rapid growth, scale down, and reorganization. Key organizations that helped shape my career included Nabisco Brands, Portland Public Schools, and the Oregon Business Council.

The value I bring to my coaching clients is directly linked to the successes and challenges I faced in these leadership roles. Each position gave me a window into the complex decisions facing individuals and organizations. I also benefited personally from professional coaching in my executive positions. Through coaching, I developed a new self-awareness and enhanced skills that made me not only a stronger leader, but also more fulfilled personally. This experience provides a strong foundation for the whole-hearted support I bring to my clients today.

Recent clients include leaders and teams from healthcare, higher education, state government, high-tech, manufacturing, construction, advertising, and non-profit organizations. Examples of the organizations served include Oregon Health & Sciences University , Lightspeed Technologies, Portland Community College, and New Seasons Market.

I am certified as an Integral Coach through New Ventures West, a premier provider of executive coach training. I received a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from State University of New York at Buffalo and an MBA from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
